Come join me in my studio in Sainte Adele (1 hour from Montreal) for a full day of crafting, a little hike in nature, and a yummy picnic lunch in an idyllic setting. The studio is located in Usine Rolland- an incredible old paper factory that is being converted to artist spaces. The building borders the Rivière du Nord with its rushing waterfalls and is part of 80 acres of bucolic land with rolling hills and old apple trees. The spot is so beautiful- I'm so excited for you to discover what made me fall in love with it here.

In addition to operating my clothing line for the last 20 years, I've picked up a lot of other skills that I would love to share with you. The group size will be 3 people maximum as I want to offer a really special and personalized experience, in a casual and friendly environment. All skill levels welcome. I will guide you through whichever project you choose, and it will be more about play and exploration rather than perfectionism and precision. You will definitely be able to finish the projects to take home, however! I just want it to be more about the journey rather than the destination, hehe. I personally find working with my hands super meditative and relaxing, and I would love to share this with others.

This is the itinerary (can be changed if you are a group of three friends booking...I can work around your schedule):

9:30 am: Arrival at studio. Coffee & snacks. Discuss projects.

10 am- Craft of your choosing (see list below)

12:30- picnic style lunch in a beautiful setting near the studio.

1:30 - Back to crafting! 

4:00 Finish! Go home with new skills!

Craft options:

SEWING - Cotton or linen top (beginner friendly)

SEWING- crewneck sweatshirt (beginner friendly)

SEWING- linen dress (not recommended for beginners)

TUFTING- create a small rug (30" x 30") (beginner friendly)

 (I suggest you sketch it on paper before the workshop so that you have more time to finish the rug)

** please note that if you are making a rug for the floor, it requires adhesive that takes 24 hours to set...so if you have a long drive I recommend doing a wall hanging instead and that way you don't need glue. If you decide to do a floor rug please prepare a flat spot in your car to transport the rug with adhesive.

BASKETWEAVING- learn basic basketweaving techniques and make a small basket. (beginner friendly)
